More likely there was no agreement at all. The contract was the contract. Barrass just doesn't like it now as defenders are now going at a premium. Although it works out in West coast's favour as he is nearing the end and yeo was signed up.

Tbf it's a similar trade to yeo, but I think we would have been better off trading him. We would have gotten more than his worth given his age and sold at an ultimate peak, where as Barrass, we can't get much of a farm for him

In most cases club probably would have given TB what they wanted but they probably also saw that it was a great opportunity to bring some decent draft capital in. We are lucky we’re losing a player close to 30 and getting a great return for it.

Haven’t seen the great return yet.

He is in the top five players at the club and a middling first round pick is not that inspiring.

Yeo would have been an UFA so we had no control over his trade value

Due to his age we’d have got Band 2 compensation (end of first round) for him - so pick 19.

At that price we were better keeping him

No real spot to put this, but I had to go back and look at highlights of Lewis Jetta after listening to parts of Simmo's podcast on Backchat this morning.



Man he was good. Speed, rebound, unbelievable foot skills. Probably an underrated player and underrated loss for us. Wonder when our next Jetta comes around.

Rotham’s management suggesting there is interest for Rotham as UFA from unnamed clubs.

Others gets to hear include, Witherden, Trew, Jones, Baker, Burgeil and LEdwards yet to hear. The West thinks Trew and possibly Witherden up for extension.

Livingstone is the only one I would be keeping if this draft is as good as some say, even at rookie list picks

So Rotham, LEdwards, Witho, JJ, Baker and Trew makes 6 list spots, and no rookie spots. Wouldve liked 1-2 more.
