Perfect win today, complete squash match against pathetic oppo.
The big man with 10, Cinderella story.
Very happy to see Mileras continued form, some outstanding work in traffic
Not getting carried away with it, worst opposition I can ever remember us playing against

Ugly:
Having to put up with the label of home track bullies.

Good teams win by lots against bad teams. Would people rather we only win by 6 goals?

As long as we don’t get smashed by good sides and only beat the bad ones, you’re not a flat tack bully.

Seeing as we have beaten Port, Brisbane, Saints and almost Pies, hardly a tag you can give us.

Now if someone wanted to criticize our ability to play outside of Adelaide…

EDIT: See you called as HOME track bullies. Yeah okay that’s fair!

Couldn't have scripted it any better for Tex's 250th

A huge win, all played well, barely any injuries (Jones slight corkie?), bag of goals for Tex, massive percentage boost, reserves win, week off.

"We'll celebrate accordingly," said Tex in his on ground interview

Jordan Butts was solid today. Albeit against no competition found plenty of the ball (18 touches) and had some dare and run from half back. Thought he played better when Murray went off the ground, even found himself getting a handball receive in the middle of the ground as well. Looks to be building after a slow start to the year.
The deliberate rushed point decision seemed to fire him up

Got heavily involved after that

He seems to be misjudging the ball in flight though? Air swings on some spoils

we have had one of the worst midfields in the comp for a few years now. We had the perfect opportunity in that second half to pump some midfield experience into some of our youth and we instead went with our old failed faithfuls for most of it.

when asked at 3/4 time if there would be some changes made Nicksy responds with “nah, not really”… “maybe a few CB’s for Rachele”..

thats s**t coaching.
I gotta agree.
It makes me wonder what Nicks is thinking.

I’ve never seen a bloke more hungry to kick a bag. Some parts were quite amusing. He wanted a cheeky handball from Murphy in the square. When he passed off to Sloane and the crowd booed. Then he wanted the handball. (Why didn’t he give it!?)

Once he got 10 he was done. Spent.

It was Modra like. The crowd lifted whenever he got near it. You knew he was on from kicking the first within 30 seconds. 40k people willed him to 10.

Loved every minute of it.

Still technically an improvement to be any sort of bully. We've come up against some pretty poor sides (probably not as poor as WCE today) but we've always managed to drop a level and turn an easy win into an arm wrestle. This is the first time I can remember us ruthlessly crushing a poor side under Matthew Nicks.

Tex might not be the greatest Crow of all time, but he’s the most loveable Crow of all time. That includes his ability, his personality, his character and his loyalty.

Only the Adelaide board’s biggest knobs will disagree with this.
And his flaws, and humanity. Let he without sin cast the first stone...

what are you on about.. I enjoyed that game.

i just think there‘s a lot more to unpack from it than simply standing around in a circle jerking off over it.

he actually still believes keays and sloane are his gun midfielders. Its bewildering.

we only won the centre clearances by 2…. 2!!… against one of the worst teams ever fielded in an AFL game.
I despair

Great memory now of watching Tex kick a bag of 10 live... think the 1st time since Mods & even better for his 250 milestone game.

Much better balanced midfield tonight with Sloane mainly playing off a wing with only small stints later in the game in the middle.

Allowed more inside midfield time for Soligo, Pedlar & Rankine.

We have 3 wingmen who cover lots of territory & also kick goals.

Tim Kelly is right up there with the best performed midfielders in the AFL in 2023....and good again today.
Went at 44% efficiency tonight. We were happy to let him have the ball as he kept on giving it straight back.

Lol, I was curious who the first to find something to complain about would be.
There are those who can always find the negatives in a good game.... like those who can always find positives in a poor game.

Personally I try to be somewhere in the middle depending on the performance.

Really not much to worry about with today's game... though the context is the Weagles are terrible with their injuries... but you take a 10 goal Tex & biggest AFL score in 7 years every time!

The Texas (chainsaw) massacre was fun to watch and Laird and Dawson were great as usual.

Perhaps more significantly

- Thilthorpe is starting to be really influential when he goes into ruck.

- The speed and skill of Chayes Jones makes me wonder why I ever doubted him.

- Michalanney already looks like a 100 game player

- Josh Worrell looks fantastic

- After a poor return from injury last week, Hinge looked back to his best.

And…….. in what universe is 20 disposals, 3 tackles, 3 goals and 10 score involvements a poor game from a small forward?????
