All 27 plus (including four at 30 plus) except for Quaynor and the Daicos bros.

Once again a very experienced side getting it done. A very similar B&F age profile as Geelong's successful 2022 and unsuccessful 2023 sides.

Adams leaving is quite bizarre, only explanation is that he feels he’s going to be squeezed out of the midfield next season. But instead going to compete with Parker, Mills, Gulden, Warner, Rowbottom and co?

He was moved out this year and played predominantly from the half forward line

I may be wrong on the timing of things, but did Sydney only make their approach either after the grand final, or at least after they learnt the extend of Mills shoulder injury?

This could be an indication that Mills 2024 season may be in some doubt, or at least uncertainty with what they're expecting from him next year, and with Adams he's that experienced player who can step straight into their midfield and fill a role...

Sure, I understand why Sydney are interested. My surprise is more around the fact that he’s a heart and soul player at the Pies; their long term VC, who only missed a flag through injury eight days ago. It would be like Stewart or Blicavs requesting a trade to me (not comparing Adams to either of those in terms of a valuable player - more in terms of how they contribute to the fabric of the club).

It will be interesting to see how Joel Hamling goes at the Swans - i think they gave him the security of a 2 year deal - thats why he took it

He has had a horrendous run - the last 3-4 years with injuries - particularly a shocking ankle injury - but apparently the latter half of the season just gone - he got into tremendous physical condition - and played really good football for Peel in the WAFL - in their Premiership chase plus 4 senior games for the Dockers

He is 30 - but the interesting bit i read yesterday - and ive got no idea how all the restricted free agency and how that all works - but it said the Cats drafted him in 2011 with a pick in the 30s - but in the 3 years he didnt play a senior game - however if i read it correctly - it is because Geel delisted him thats why he could leave Frem now and join the Swans

Mills won't play this year ..
One of Parker or Adams will play forward imo

Swans are desperate for an inside mid which Adams will fill.

I wonder if any other set of brothers have quinalled their B/F

Wayne and Max Richardson perhaps - or maybe Bob and Kevin Rose

I listened to Kevin Rose 3qtr time speech when he was coaching Prahran in the VFA - would have been late 60s perhaps - he spoke well that bloke

It was the last game of the year and they couldnt make the finals and at 3qtr time he said to his players - how about thinking about your supporters - who come and barrack for you each week - how about giving one last effort for the year for them

You hear alot of ratbag coaches over the years - but that bloke spoke very well

Quite recently actually.

Kane and Chad Cornes for Port Adelaide in 2007.

Agree about Max and Wayne. Wonder about Ian and Bruce Nankervis. Ian won in 72, 76, 77, and Bruce in 73, 74

Even in the midst of some very barren days for the club, that is quite phenomenal.

Surely two brothers have never won five out of six B&F's elsewhere in the history of the competition.
