Alot of teams looking at topping up .
I don't remember GWS and Adelaide topping up in 2023... the reason I say this is that I LOVED their rejuvenation this year. Great coaching using the pieces on the board and it created a wonderful energy and self-belief.

It takes teams a little while to gel and that's ok. Can't win every year. But that consistency and opportunity to play with each other and see the same faces and start to get used to each other is probably one of most important ingredients of premiership success.

You know SDK will be better in 2024 in his third year as he gets bigger and stronger and used to the opposition trying to take his game away. I can see Dempsey really stepping up. Ollie Henry has an even higher ceiling as he starts to become a man physically. Bruhn started to work out how to play and started to enjoy being the main man in the midfield at times. We saw Bowes relish his opportunity at the end of the year.

Conway will get games, as will Clark and Knevitt.

The older guys will become the support act.

I am actually more excited for next year because of how we went in 2023. We blooded the young guys, put pressure on them, taught them the system, let them take responsibility.

The Freo list management is nuts. If you are getting two best 22 players a year from the national draft each year you are doing pretty well. They are losing 2 best 22 players every year for 5 years. Makes a rebuild damn tough.

Hawks offering Shulz a good contract and money not that long ago .

Freo have used alot of players over the years

Anybody been to the Sportsman nights run by " Entertainment by Vin " before? He does a few Geelong players ones, has one of Joel Selwood coming up my way. Just wanted to know what its like?

Fly McRae is a ripper, truly special human being...but he can only do so much when he's got morons like this in his supporter base.

The Collingwood fan who tweeted that has been completely shot down by everyone, including fellow Collingwood fans - not sure one person has agreed with them

This is sort of not Geelong... I was scanning the Power Board on the Esava non-deal and someone posted, "Isn't Mackie the reason we have Hinkley?"

Does anyone know the significance of that question? Others on the Power Board agreed with the poster, but pointed out Koch is the reason Hinkley is still there.

Hinkley and Mackie were close when he was an assistant here. Mackie put in a good word for him when he went for the Port job.

What's going on with Clayton Oliver?

Yes, they are Port supporters, they are not rational when it comes to Hinkley
Port could have won the flag by 120 points against us this year and their supporters would still be like "yeah but with a different coach its 150".

What's going on with Clayton Oliver?
Be really interesting to find out, whatever it is hopefully its nothing too serious and he gets back to his best. Wonder if this changes Melbournes perspective on him being up for trade.

Hawfs wanted Brockman + 4 for Eagles 1, Eagles said no, Brockman goes to the Weagles for picks 44 and 63.

Swing and a miss.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure they offered their F1 as well on top of that deal - so it's the best that the Eagles have been offered thus far. Still not worth it, but not as bad as 4 and Brockman alone for Reid.
