On what basis? They only lost four games for the season, finished top, and won their three finals by a combined 190 points.

I accept they have proved to be far from a dynasty team. But they were clearly the best team of that season, no matter how mediocre the opposition might have been at the time.

Fair enough that you can't stand them. But the Dees were up by four goals at the last change and ultimately won by 74 points. So the idea that the Dogs should have won is surely nothing more than wishful thinking.

Considering what happened in that last quarter the Dogs should be more embarrassed than Sydney against us in 2022

Not sure I would agree. At least the Dogs were highly competitive for more than half the game. The Swans didn't go remotely close to achieving that.

Both were embarrassing in different ways i just think losing by almost as much just from just over 1 quarter is worse.

Nah Melbourne blew them out of the water in the last 10 minutes of the 3rd. They went from being 3 goals down to 4 goals up at 3 quarter time in that period.
It’s actually quite remarkable to watch.

That's a little tough. Like us in 2022, they found the right game plan with the players committed and reaped the ultimate reward.
Ironically, the come from behind win against us gave them massive self-belief in the final H&A round. Like the Hawks in 2014 in the penultimate round. We're philanthropists.

Tonight’s game is pretty intriguing. I normally hate watching games at the SCG. The camera angle is shit and the ground is small. It looks so confined and compacted.
But I’ll definitely be watching tonight.

Surely Sydney hit back hard. They have to. Collingwood also have to win to make finals.
