Brown isn’t ready yet, and wouldn’t make sense to have him over Ross who is playing as a midfielder when Brown is a medium defender/half back

Dug deep when challenged in the second half and it was our next generation that stood up to get the game back on our terms in the 4th.
Move on to next weeks game against the Suns knowing that it's not going to be easy will have us more switched on than we were in the 3rd quarter today when it looked like we thought it would be an easy kill after being up by 6 goals.

Wasn’t really the best match up imo, was alright once the ball was already in our 50 and Rioli was playing defensively but Hurn had the obvious size size advantage whenever it was a 50/50 marking contest

Correct he seems to play a little bit away from the action at times so when the ball spills he is too far away to impact
Assume with experience this will get better

The good: We’re second highest points scored this season after Brisbane.

The bad: Only 7 teams have conceded more points than us this year.

To me we just have to have our best side on the park. Anything less and we’re no chance. I know that probably goes without saying for most teams but we just don’t have the luxury of depth - it’s just not quite good enough.

Gibcus will learn, he has had some big challenges and did very well.
