All/mostly comes down to a lack of midfield strength in that 3rd quarter. No defense is capable of stonewalling quickfire and repeat entries.

I disagree, I think our defence was epic, Eagles won the inside 50's, it was our contested game that sucked, we got taught another lesson today which nearly cost us the game.

Soldo has to go. The problem is who becomes the 2nd ruck with Balta out. It seems weve gone to Riewoldt lately, but he is awful in the ruck and too slow around the contest. Cant really go back to Pickett as hes playing too well.

Ryan will eventually be an upgrade on Soldo but is not ready yet, Soldo despite his deficiencies is bigger, stronger and better option until Balta is ready to go.

The more I think of it, if we need a guy purely as a chop out rather than play Ivan then Miller seems like the best option.

Roast: When the opposition gets momentum they score really heavily against us. Our inability to defend from the centre bounce is a concern and teams can pile on 5-6 goals against us in as many minutes when we lose control of The game

Toast: Our ball movement has been really good this year and we are quite exciting to watch. This time last season we got flogged by stkilda and scored just 2 goals In 120 minutes of football. We are moving the ball with much more purpose and precision and we can score goals in a number of different ways

We were always going to be a bit off today given last week, so take the win. The Dusty injury hurts given he looked back to his best out there. Gold Coast have had 2 brutal games in a row with close finishes. Absolutely no excuses next week, cant be coasting early like today. We can have a flat game against North the week after.

Dont hate the guy, he was poor today. He is clearly our next best full time inside mid after Prestia and Cotchin.

Would be getting paid more than both of them, he is their first choice key position forward and they are generally top 5 players in terms of money

Of course it would of been handy but we couldn’t of afforded to pay him best 22 type money when he would of been still a depth option

Miller might be worth some thought, but he’s had zero time in that role in the 2s. If they want to consider that they probably should give him some time in the guts and up forward in the Reserves. They certainly throw the magnets around re other players- Stack, Mansell for example

Ross and the engine room in general were really poor today. After such a big effort last week we got our asses handed to us in the clearances.

It was obvious last week that Gibcus needs some time in the 2s, then Dimma threw him to the proverbial wolves by the way a 30kg heavier Darling.

Huge game next week, Prestia and Lambo back in and hopefully Dusty plays. Gibcus out for Mansell maybe?

Yeah NicNat was massive as always. Especially around the stoppages.
