Yes, that is why the Swans would have got him with the next pick if we had not drafted him.Inside info I have is that the club was even worried in the first year.
Not now. They love him.
I expected finals.Realistically who here believed we would have played finals this year? Develop the kids and will make this year entertaining to watch the future.
I get that but unfortunately the experienced blokes I mentioned let us down today. With 14 out, you can’t remove all your experience out of the team.
Hopefully just rolled it and needed to be re strappedMan I hope so, Meehan will send him to Siberia for season ending polio surgery
Yes…And will be picked for the rest of the year.
People need to slow down, stop and think (and breath). We can’t drop every senior player. We need some experienced blokes around the kids. And in return, they will be better. For those calling for Pickett and K Mac to be dropped while we got 14 out, i ask them, how did it wirk out for Melbourne when they delisted and traded out all the experience and went with kids? They were hopeless and it stifled the kids development. The kids look good, but they need some big bodies around them.Realistically who here believed we would have played finals this year? Can't prevent accidents in contact sports. Can't stop that at all....So in the case of today, what would you do to stop Dow stepping on a footy in play rolling his ankle and McAuliffe rolling his in a contested passage of play. How would you address that and fix the issue?
It was terrible. That ground is not appropriate to play afl on
Thought Broad was very good
And this is probably the ideal form to be in if you’re going to finish bottom 4. Competitive at various stages every game with the occasional comfortable loss by around 30-50 pointsPositive , everything is going to script for bottom 4 pick
So the solution is to replace with smaller bodied, less experienced players? It would actually make our performances and reaults worse.I get that but unfortunately the experienced blokes I mentioned let us down today.
What if Dow told the medical team he was good to go and the assessment backed the player call? Can't prevent accidents in contact sports. Can't stop that at all....
But you can make a more conservative approach to managing them once they do get injured. Did you see Dow clearly hindered after he went back on for a couple disposals and return to the bench soon after? Then he went back on again and then finally subbed. I'm no doctor, but with a mounting injury list as long as ours, and a fresh player ready to go just before the last break, the risk of making the injury WORSE is the right call ?
We don't know that though. This has to be a year of experimentation at some point and every game we give to Pickett and McIntosh is one less we get into the players who will be here when we are loading up again for another crack at it.So the solution is to replace with smaller bodied, less experienced players? It would actually make our performances and reaults worse.
Never forget Todd Elton in 2017.Never seen a more cursed side for injuries.
Kosi might be the worst player I've seen put a Richmond jumper on since 2016.
I agree mostly but Kane Mac is already a big body should have started. What if Dow told the medical team he was good to go and the assessment backed the player call?
I’ve played there footy and cricket. It was terrible.
Then he goes back on and risks further injuring his ankle and instead of rest and icing the injury. Which is what appears to have happened. He was not subbed after injuring his ankle, with a fresh player ready to go on.What if Dow told the medical team he was good to go and the assessment backed the player call?
