Very proud of the boys and the Club that was a bloody fine effort considering how many we had out and that we conceding home ground advantage!
We did'nt bring home the choccies but as a supporter you could not ask for more.
Team gave it everything we nearly won it back but it was not to be.
So many different faces just made it hard for the team to play with any fluidity, but they had a red hot go!
Just think about it we got stopped in our tracks at one stage when we had the momentum with a super quick holding the ball against JGraham in the 3rd Q...disgraceful maggott decision...and that was our last roll of the dice from then on it was reaction footy!
Still with half a side out on the Crows home ground to be beaten by only 33 points!! Says a lot about our depth!
Well done tigers! Half a side out Tigers and we played so well! So proud!
Prestia a smokey for the Brownlow!

Thought broad was just as bad if not worse than Garth.
not way imo. Defended well enough and provided other options. Thought Garth got led to the ball far too umch, doesn't offer anything else, and when had the chance to kill the ball and take body just refuses too. Wont make imo.

Garthwaite - Worst on Ground

I was a big advocate for him early on, but thought he was atrocious tonight. Found my self shouting at the telly from his complete lack of competitiveness. Don’t think he even managed to break even at least once in a one on one.
Feel he is nowhere near the level required at the moment and not sure he has the attributes attributes to play in defence in the afl in future.

Needs to go back to the 2’s

Our next string of games all winnable.
Not doom and gloom, tonight coulda been a blowout but we showed fight.
Regroup after the bye and bring the cavalry back.

Strange how just about every other side can tag our best players out of the game but we can't stop a guy getting over 40 possessions, surely someone could have been sent out to do a job on the Couches.

The other interesting stat would be quarter by quarter how many tackles are broken by the opposition. With the younger bodies we have in the side I would guess the stat blows out in last quarters. Very noticeable tonight how long Crows players seemed to be able to stand in congestion and still find a teammate and to weave out of trouble when seemingly surrounded by Tigers.
This says it all for me.

When he led up absolutely.

He could mark it 75m out, wheel around and get it quick.

Feel like we operated better when he was leading at the ball carrier.

Can’t wait until we get both jack and lunch both playing consistent

We saw tonight how valuable lynch can be when given the freedom to roam up the ground when we have both him and jack taking turns we will really be able to stretch opponents defenders and cause some headaches

Needs to learn if he’s going to make it as a defender that he needs to either put it over the boundary; spoil to a team mates advantage; mark the ****ing thing.

It’s not enough to just get a weak fist on the pill. Not a good night for him.

Butler is not AFL hardened. Higgins needs to go back to the VFL to regain touch. I don't care how many touches Ellis gets, he is a momentum killer.
Really hope we are smart and trade Ellis. he is a genuine match loser, costing us goals and momentum through horrible turnovers. His occasional good games don’t cover his overall negative impact. he is just taking the spot of a promising kid who could be improving our side.

In his 5th or something game? Kid is 20 playing on tex and Jenkins with the ball coming down pretty regularly, not saying he had a great game but are we really writing him off after 1 game? ruddy madness
Calling it the way I see it, as there was plenty of times he could have spoiled and didn't want to hit body. Too passive imo.

He’s a FA.

Won’t get anything for Ellis

Not too upset all things considered

Got a couple of very, very good young players showing plenty

All things considered not a bad night. Ran out of petrol in the end but can take some real positives out of it and can head into the second half of the season ready to have a crack at it.

Double standards from posters. Ellis flies for a mark and spills it and he gets hammered, Dusty tries to intercept a mark and misses and barely a peep. That's not the only one either but if you're going to belt one for making mistakes then they should all cop it when they do.
.
2 completely different acts.
Ellis had a clean run to mark it or kill it.He did neither.
Dusty was going full tilt racing against time to get to the ball. One of those situations where if he was .05 of a sec quicker he would have had an impact.

I thought Garth was only in his second year....

Problem is Garth has been our best VFL defender since Bachelor (who was elite at the level). Doesn’t say much about the developing Miller and co

Just finished watching the replay. Pretty ordinary night, Crows down a couple of rotations and we still capitulate at end. How on earth are Butler and Higgins in this team? Mcintosh unsighted and Ellis dreadful. Killed in the ruck, when is Nank back? Message to Prestia, handball, don’t kick. Lynch much better, Stack was good again. Martin a class above anyone else in our team.
