Quick question with this covid stuff and box Hill. Are our 2s having to isolate for 14 days? If yes, who didn't travel with them who might be available for selection. We will have two enforced changes with Dgb and Wingard likely to miss. Burgoyne comes into the 22. Mitch Lewis maybe as well. Could that mean seamus Mitchell is the last fit bloke standing who wasn't with box Hill??! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
The game was at Box Hill. A few of our senior team was there, Newman was there Will Sammy yet was in box today. Not sure how that will all work. Cousins did not play.

Ah OK. So maybe I heard wrong. The Aspley crew came down with a covid positive flight attendant maybe? Anyway. Sounds like cuz will be available then. I thought the stars were aligning for a seamus Mitchell debut from nowhere 😂

As much as David King is a bit of a numpty, he had it right in saying our backline is probably the most aggressive in the league. Almost all of them are elite contested/intercept markers
Day
Scrim
CJ
DGB
Hardwick

Nice... very nice

I was saying to the missus: where will the prince fit in when he comes back? and she reminded me that he can go forward. Nice problem to have, although a couple of the others could hopefully swing into the guts eventually. It’s just so critical to have courage, flair and excellent ball use off half back, as we know from not too distant history, and we are well stocked now!

Personally I think Sicily comes in for Hartigan. I like Truck and don’t think he’s been bad but Frost/DGB/Sicily is better balanced for the modern game. Could probably even rotate Frost and Truck based on the opposition.

Also think Impey gets pushed up the ground due to his flexibility to play wing/forward & his experience. I’d like to see Day on a wing but his defensive prowess is invaluable when we’re this attacking from the backline.
Earlier in the year before he hurt his ankle I thought he( Will Day) looked a bit lost up the ground , much more settled at HBF .

I was at the G today. Day, Scrimmers and CJ were irrepressible. Day ... in particular, is just a beautiful natural footballer. Don't know if it was worth the 9 year investment, but that mark by TOB will ensure that he'll be in "AFL's Greatest Marks" compilations for years to come. Sublime!

No. Hartigan is our enforcer. Our young guys need that big body around at this stage of their development.

I often screen shot the team sheet after a game and use traffic light colours to highlight each player if I rate their game as good ok or bad. That’s the first game I’ve not used the red highlighter, fantastic team effort.

Day was huge and getting big wraps in here, I’m giving Scrimshaw best on just ahead of him for mine, was huge when we started getting a run on in the second and third, particularly in the air. That backline is scary…
