No way we'd play a final a team Simonds

Only a month ago, Brian Cook was again pushing the AFL to remain 'true to their word' about Geelong hosting at least one final in Geelong this year (if they finish top two, of course).

You think getting tickets for the H&A game in few weeks time was difficult.

Certainly not wanting to get ahead of ourselves, but hypothetically, would y'all prefer an away QF in Adelaide, or Geelong?

The only teams Geelong will play at KP in a final are GWS, Gold Coast, Brisbane and maybe Fremantle, AFL will never schedule a vic team at KP for a final...EVER.

wHY...?!?
Grigg has improved in the past year or 2 however ATM he is in poor form and his lack of pace and poor disposal by foot really shows out in a game plan that is the complete opposite. He won't get dropped because he is one of the coaches favourites but we have to make 2 changes this week.
Miles was really good especially in the first half.
Cellis is clean and continues to improve.
Broad again held his own and was also very assured by hand and foot.
Soldo releases Nank forward.
Bolton looked very lively but needs to get more of the pill.
Ins Jack Prestia
Outs Grigg Butler

Certainly I think this week is the big one for me. Rate it as our biggest game of the season bar none.
Playing the alpha dog who are in the best form in the competition and have a sniff whilst we are trying to both shore up a top four spot and beat a team in sensational form.
I think if we win this then anything is possible.

Of the same mind here....
We thump the Hawks...GF is a possibility for mine...

I thought last week was a big game now it's next week, make up your minds folks.
Last week was a big game. Was very winnable though and did.
This is a massive game, how could you think otherwise? We even spoke about this the other week it's against a genuine nemesis who are by far and away the most in form team in the Comp. It's a great challenge and a great way to gauge how we are traveling.

25-14 frees with 8:40 left in the 4th.
0-6 frees in the last 8:40 to bring it to 25-20.

Amazing how we earned 14 free kicks in about 100 minutes of game time when it was game on and the won 6 in 8:40 when it was game over.

Dimma has to say something.
Jason Dunstall said, when it was 25-15 that "that isn't too lob sided".

LOL

I wouldn't be going into a game with caddy as ff again , glad we learnt that. An OK mark and average kick , in fact not as good as George as he can kick some from his clacker , regularly. Lennon needs to given a shot if jack misses. Bolton is still a fair way off it , id be looking at finding a spot for menadue instead. Butler has hit a flat spot and it wouldn't hurt giving him a rocket and dropping him to vfl

It's just a game that i want us to win and to end the dawks season, big game little game it's all the same to me, a football game to win and i see no reason why we we wont.

As for how we are travelling, beating Port in adelaide, beating GWS and being 12-6 and 4th and winning 7 out of last 9 not a good enough gauge.

Very funny how far apart the opinion on caddy is. Best 22 for mine

Im half way through the 3rd quarter of the replay. Watching again with the full intention of giving Caddy the benefit of the doubt.
Being as objective as i can he is a polarizing player.
Perhaps calling for him to be dropped is a bit of a knee jerk reaction to some frustrating aspects to his game of which were all on show last night.
He does play a role and has done it all season, was asked to be somebody else last night so may have been a bit out of sorts.
However, he is not deserving of any superlative for his performance last night. To say any part if his game on or off the ball was 'huge, massive or great' is just a knee jerk reaction to others knee jerk reactions.
He presented a few times. Hit that contest on the wing hard, spotted up Grigg in the 1st quarter. Sat deep for a lot of the game.
He didn't make a mess if his temp role at FF but beyond that is an exaggeration.
Will benefit from being able to go back to his usual role.

If we beat Hawthorn who are absolutely flying at such a critical point in the season it will be a huge win and give the team a belief that they can do anything.
Probably the biggest game a lot of them have played. GWS and Port don't come close. It's not a bad thing it's a great thing to have such a massive game right now.

Geelong home ground final would be for an interstate side where the crowd would be smaller.

I'm actually preferring these last 4 games leading into finals because in 2013 and 15 we had soft as butter lead ins which played against us i reckon.
