Shit way to win, but at the end of the day it was a deserved free kick and we needed some luck to finally go our way somewhere.

Some of our mids had okay games but absolutely smashed in the clearances again today. I have no idea what the answer to that is, but clearly neither do our coaching staff.

Anyway, we got the W and it seemed to mean a lot to the players. Lets hope it's enough of a spark to get some semblence of momentum into our season.

Not denying the negatives

but my thoughts as fans are enjoy a win, its only the fourth this year

so wont mention negatives here at all.

Parker was excellent cant fault that intensity

Warner was excellent in attack in the last, Buddy stood up

I think the defence was unorganised but is our most lacking area, so I would say Fox Gould Francis did well

and mcandrews debut showed a little

but yeah enjoy a win, thats all we can do, if you pick the wins to pieces which you can then you end up miserable

oh lol norf

and finally my best post ever just before the free
See, manners are important.

How good is a win

It starts here 😉

Luke Parker needs more freedom by the looks he's got it back maybe. His kicking was best I've seen from him

McAndrews looks likely long term

22yo ruckman being called upon to play against Goldstein who is still a top ruckman.

20HO, 9 possies, 6 contested.

Likely 18 months away But showed a lot to work with.
Yep and I dare say the plan was to sub him out for Sheldrick later in the game but Ladhams going down obviously forced him to play the game out.

this is so far from our best team ... this tough run could be the making, and the waking up, of a lot of the young players
key injuries, morale-crushing injuries, and some spirit-crushing losses, no doubt we've struggled
but that kind of weird "miracle" win, who knows ...
and even if this season ends up a disappointment, hopefully we look back on this dreadful past month as some kind awakening

footnote: what will be really amusing is when the afl announce on monday they did a recount and found north in fact had not gone over the interchange limit, and that it was an official's error

Suspect correct, as Mclean seemd to ruck most of the last iirc

Did it kinda surprise anyone else to see Heeney in the midfield suddenly? I found that quite odd. Big call by the coaches in the dying minutes. Led to a goal. Unless Heeney just disobeyed orders and just did it himself?

With Ladhams likely goneski - I actually don’t mind the thought of McLean being a ruck.

Does a good job.
Problem is he's also our best key forward at the moment, IMO.

We desperately need Amartey back. Not sure we expected to be saying that at the start of the season.

Ladhams is an interesting one, looks like he has done a decent injury…becoming a thing for him.

Only one thing to take out of the game and it was the last 3 minutes. Agressive desperation to will the ball forward. Thats how we played all year last year. Shame it took till the death of the game to show itself but it's clearly in them, held back by a lack of confidence.

exactly ... and while it was a bizarre call that won the game, there were several close things in our forward half in those last few minutes, any one of those moments could've gone our way and ended in a game winner ...
