I don't think what you say is true. I've been to spurs games home and away and have seen stadiums singing about Bale being an ape - because he does look like an ape (this is coming from a spurs fan who loves him). I'm hesitant to defend the girl as she should know better and that would she was...
If he isn't the only reason is because he does his usual special move of digging himself a hole, dishing off to a teammate who gets killed the second after he touches the ball keepinh Brady at 100% efficiency...
Seriously, the less traffic that gets directed through Brady the better North will...
haha, it seems like a pretty big hedge your bets article. If North do get Buckley, she can claim she was all over it and isn't always anti-North. If we don't, then she can hit the shit out of us, which she will def do.
What is just as strange is that she wrote an article today(yesterday) with the major point that North were the logical choice for Buckley, but didn't even mention us on FC when they were talking about Buckley...
Re: I'm sorry but Urquart is not a good kick
I agree about the Wells comment, but just not sure if it was one of those situations. I'm all for these guys taking the game on, but when you can draw a player and give off to one of two options who would then be able to run right in, or have a...
Hahahahaha, I love listening to Richmond supporters argue how good their list is - it just means that they will be that bit more disapointed when the unavoidable epic failure that they all know deep down is coming hits.
For me, one of the most disapointing things this year has been the inability of our players to take the next step in their development. Last year, a lot of guys showed good signs of improvement and things were looking good, but this year has been such a backwards step. Guys like Firrito...
I agree. He can be a class act. He at least deserves a chance to prove he still has it, especially with all the injuries. Give him one game with at least mediocre supply and see how he goes.
Agree totally. Today I cringed everytime Hansen or Grima had the ball. At least there are some good signs though. S Thompson was pretty good and Grima does some good things and all can definitely improve, especially with the amount of practice they are getting this year.
So, would it be fair to say that after 6 pages, the main good things that have come out about Laidley is he has done very well under tough circumstances, and can be a great, but sometimes inconsistent, tactician?
Gee, I thought the great Laidley defenders could come up with a bit more than that...
Realistically, does anyone think we would have won if we didn't get the injuries? It def made a difference, but I still wasn't that confident at quarter time. I guess a similar thing happened in the Richmond game too and that was against sh!t opposition.
Sure there are some positives, but don't people find it extremely frustrating watching us play with the same inherent problems week in, week out.
For me, two main things are killing us.
1 - Poor skills. This is hard to fix anytime soon, so we will have to live with it this year it seems.
2 -...
My guess is one of the new players will emerge once the honeymoon period is over. I don't think it will be Ross, he is too good. I'd be guessing it could be Ben Warren or Josh Smith.
While this thread is a bit over the top, Geelong definitely don't seem as dominant as they have in the past 2.5 years.
This year they have surrended large leads on multiple occasions where they have been lucky to fall across the line. When you couple this with their below (their own) average...
Most of the media types are just as bad as one another. There is no way that Caro is any better than Hutchy. She is a hypocritical, vindictive and bitter old woman, who tries at every opportunity to push her own personal agendas. You can tell that she loves trying to exercise the small amount of...
Funny - I saw that exact thing happen at least half a dozen times tonight, but no free kicks were paid to the doggies. What is nigh on impossible is to get a hold in the ball free kick against Geelong
That Geelong even need to try and get frees is ridiculous. I think the umpires made it clear tonight how much they love Geelong. Geelong go around and do as they please. They jump into peoples backs, they scrag, they trip, they just crash into players in marking contests with no eyes on the...
I think you have got it all wrong. This thread should be "the umpires helped Geelong to a win"
Seriously, the umpiring tonight was absurd. There were different sets of rules for the two teams, and without it I doubt it would have come down to the last kick of the night in any case. When the...
I think one of the reasons why Laidley gets so much flak for his finals performances is because he tries so hard to avoid it by spinning. For example, after the Sydney game all he talked about was how crap the players were, but not once conceded that he also had a very very poor night. Atleast...
I'm all for Laidley playing the kids, but I still think Jones deserves another go. He showed us over a long period of time that he is a class player, capable of being an elite player. He had one bad year when under an injury cloud and got one game where his teammates did nothing to help his...
How many times during Laidley's time have we heard someone from North talking about winning back respect?
Well, if we re-appoint Laidley we will be the laughing stock of the AFL. How can any organisation wanting to be successful reward 7 years of mediocrity with another contract? I have...
