Re: Sheedy Sacked ??
Geez, who's next?
This does make an interesting scenario fir Fremantle. Will Harvey stay at the Dockers or try and get the gig at Essendon?
If we've won a flag then it really doesn't matter if we drop out of contention in that period and begin rebuilding. Besides, we've got quite a few handy players in the 20-22 age bracket at the moment that will be in their prime from 2009-20011. Whether they'll be as good as Pavlich, J. Carr...
Cullen is light years away from playing test cricket against a half decent side on a spin UNfriendly wicket. I'm confident he'll get better, but if Warne and McGill suddenly drop dead, our test side will be in a world of hurt.
Don't know much about Heal, but its good to see he's grabbing his...
Has been poorly treated for most of his international career, though he's the kind of bloke that wouldn't get all worked up over it. He'll just keeping doing his job and giving it everything he's got.
I don't see why Hussey couldn't open with Gilchrist. He's in stunning form and the two of them could effectively kill the game in the first 20 overs.
Having said that, I'm glad Watson is opening instead of Katich.
I'd only have JLo in there intermittently to exploit any lack of opposition height or if one of our tall forwards was on the bench, otherwise it could get crowded with Pav, Tarrant, Spud and Farmer.
I guess it all depends on where CC decides to play Pav and Tarrant...
Speaking of Malthouse, have you seen Christie lately? She's lost shyte loads of weight!!! I had the opportunity of checking her out at our home final and sheesh, I wouldn't mind tapping that.:D
I'd like to see Cook playing off the bench. He gives that spark we need, especially in the big games where the phyiscal side of things is more emphasised.
If Haselby is fit, then Macca will only play about 12 games IMO.
Thats what I want to see as well. Murphy leading from the square and Pavlich and Tarrant at half forward. That way Pavlich and Tarrant can alternate between being the link man up the ground and the goal kicking CHF at 40-50 m out.
I'd have Murphy leading from FF and Tarrant on the HF line. That'll leave Pavlich to lead up the ground and become the link man or drop in the hole between FF and HF.
