Melbourne are top of the pops. Even their success has been sad.
Win a Brownlow medal --> It's Shane Woewodin.
Play in a GF --> Miss finals next season and go back to irrelevance.
Make a prelim with a young team --> get flogged, have two bad years, don't improve and Angus Brayshaw has footy amnesia.
I think Kayo is great value. It's $25 per month but allows for 2 x simultaneous users and can become 3 users for $35.
Ideally the cost won't jump if Stan and some of the other streamers keep pushing for sports.
- Every AFL game plus classic matches.
- Enough NBA games.
- Cricket broadcast is...
If Buddy played for my team, and wasn't helping us win when he's getting paid half our salary cap, I'd want a better reason than "mental health issues".
What issues? Depression, anxiety? If they won't say we can only make wild assumptions.
Perhaps more suprising than the fact that no one at the Crown realised he'd won with a round to go is the fact that Bigfooty are shocked that Priddis won an award that rewards consistency and playing every week when GAJ, Fyfe, JPK & Buddy all missed multiple games this season.
Why I am for the disclosure of contracts is it holds football departments accountable. If West Coast are paying Wellingham 500k then someone needs to be shot... and it's not Wellingham's fault.
The big thing free agency lacks is full disclosure of contracts. Fans can't properly judge their football departments because we don't know who's getting paid what and that ultimately is what drives free agency.
Your original statement was "from a supporter point of view it sucks seeing your favourite players running around for another team." Chris Judd fit the category of favourite players.
Have you heard of a guy called Chris Judd?
Is it really loyalty to the club if they don't have a choice? If a bloke plays his career for one club these days then that is true loyalty.
Ask James McDonald about loyalty? It's all good to demand it of players but when clubs don't show it then you see why players have the right to free agency.
Teams in America have different state taxes. For example, Lebron can take less money to go to Miami but because there are no state taxes in Florida he gets more cash in hand.
AFL needs to be publishing player salaries. This is a professional sport.
If supporters could see what team payrolls look like then this garbage of how can they fit him in isn't an issue.
