KH was involved in getting Monfries to Port, shows me he has been involved even before we thought he was. I think he would have been at the forefront of the delistings too. I cant see him as a man who would not be at the frontline imo.
We have needed this for a long long time.
I think the only thing that would stop him axing further is the necessity of being able to replace these players with the type of players needed to do the job, i would be sure he is at the forefront of that also!

Mitch Farmer was never league standard and was only ever rated for sticking 2 solid tackles in the Saints game where Salter looked amazing before getting concussed.

Banner, like Adam Thomson and Nick Lower before him, looked very promising in the extremely limited time he was given.

6/19 games with 20+ possessions. Bah, his opponent or something or other.

In Logan, Ebo and Thommers we trust!!
All over something to do with "bad defensive side"?

He must have been leaving his opponent completely unchecked to deserve a delisting while putting up the numbers he was. Even after being hammered into about it a number of times?

It is a strange situation IMO.

Never thought Newton was ever going to get cut. He has had very little preseason and even less AFL experience. I think Surjan's knees are stuffed. That is really what got him delisted.

Just heard Surjan interviewed on 5AA.
What a legend.

We've lost much more than just a player with delisting him.

Heard that too, terrific young bloke. If we have delisted him for anything other than injury reasons I would be extremely disappointed in whoever made the decision. If he is fit I would be amazed if he didn't get picked up by another club. He has a great attitude and would be a good person to have around, as well as his value as a player.

I don't know either way but how are you so certain?
You don't tell the media you've got 3-4 years of good footy contribution left when your body is stuffed. He's never struck me as the type of guy to sprout bull dust and has credit points banked from past contributions for the PAFC as a past player

I am almost 100% sure that any player in his position regardless of integrity would say the exact same thing. History is enough to suggest this.

Why is that position any less speculative than throwing out a comment as a fact? I simply don't believe the injury delisting argument

I can't wait to see how/if Surjan plays next season. Probably will be him and Rodan ripping it up at the Tigers in the midfield.

Based on what Collingwood sucked out of Melbourne for Dawes, all we can hope for is to include Melbourne in some way for any future trades that we make with any other club.

Our off season is looking worse and worse every day.

Out: Pearce, Chaplin, Salopek, Surjan, Rodan, Jacobs
In: Monfries, pick 7, probably Matt Campbell, maybe even ******* Slattery.

We're going to suck balls next season. Spoon contenders.
People still wonder why I've been tearing my hair out for the past two years especially gopower. I saw this coming from a long way out. It doesn't matter who we install as the coach when Peter Rohde is the Footy Ops Manager because the poor buggers are being set up to fail

We appear to enjoy paying overs for average to slightly above average players to keep them in Adelaide. Rohde's done that to bring Monfries across too. That's currency enough

The point is, even if we got rid Rohde, would our position be any different?
Is it the man or the circumstances?

We've lost 6 decent to good players and replaced them with 1, hopefully 2 once we use pick 7. We need to get a move on. Jolly, Russell, Gillies/Gilham etc. And we'll probably need to draft a couple of mature-agers. We have zero depth ATM.

The point is, even if we got rid Rohde, would our position be any different?
Is it the man or the circumstances?

The circumstances didn't make him delist arguably the best shutdown small defender in the competition Jacob Surjan while retaining the second worst shutdown small defender in the competition Tom Logan and apparently pursuing the worst shutdown small defender in the competition Henry Slattery.

It's Peter Rohde. He was the bastion of success with the Bulldogs and he's brought that unparalleled success with him to our once great club. The guy has NFI what he is doing other than overseeing an era of unprecedented failure in the AFL. He's a parasite killing our club and the fact that nobody appears to be doing anything about it in the administration means Ken Hinkley is being set up to fail before he's even coached a game

I have no problem with change and rebuilding a culture, but Peter Rohde's cultural change = wooden spoon contenders. He's done it with the Bulldogs and he's going to do it to us. I wish I didn't care this much but it hurts watching we've become

It's Peter Rohde. ................. I wish I didn't care this much but it hurts watching we've become

Yup.

I dont agree 100% with your sentiments but you are a helluva lot more right than wrong IMO.

Will be interesting to see what the FA compensation is. Would be nice to think Rhode and Cripps are protecting a decent pick or something but I seriously doubt it. Prove me wrong bill and ben!
