Is that actually set in stone?
I thought the Redlegs might bring him back as an overager for their U18 program given they've done similar in the past IIRC?
I recall a news clip a few weeks ago mentioning that he'd join the Crows if he went undrafted.

Yes, he did. His name is on the list of 2024 AFL Draft nominees released by the AFL:
https://www.afl.com.au/news/1255446/final-list-of-nominees-for-the-2024-telstra-afl-draft

This means that he will no longer be eligible for F/S nomination in any future year.
Think you'll find Jack Michalanney retains his Crows F/S eligibility for 2025 draft if we were to nominate him but another club can take him in the 2025 MSD if they like him is my understanding of how it works.

The clam man's favourite player

Pretty typical of players who can't make it ......rather than fight to get another shot at AFL, they drift off to Country Footy

Says a lot about how much a player wants to play AFL

His family are in Port Augusta so might as well play with his mates.

West Augusta won't be too happy mind you, that's where he played his junior footy before he went to North Adelaide.

IF Newchurch had the talent many here pounded on about ....then an AFL Club would have rookied him ....crickets

What a wasted talent, simply wouldn't work hard enough

I still think he had the raw talent in spades but wasn't prepared to work on areas of his game he had big weaknesses in. Likely wins the SGL mail medal being in familiar surroundings up there.

You may be right. Looking at the AFL Rules document, all it says is this:
A person cannot be included on a Club’s Primary List or Rookie List under Rules 8.1, 8.2 or 8.3 if he has at any time been registered with the AFL as a Player with any Club.
There's no mention of them only being eligible the first time they nominate.

To be fair, it was mainly one poster.

Once Tariek was delisted he initially looked O.K. at North Adelaide but then drifted down to the Rooster Twos.
But, but, but he kicked 5 goals against the bottom team in the SANFL and he suddenly became the poster boy for a group of posters who jumped on the “we never give good kids a chance” band wagon.

To be fair most of those complaining never watch the Twos but one poster……….

For the record I was a Newchurch fan. I thought he was pretty unlucky late one season where he'd got a lot of good performances and we were out of finals contention that they didn't give him a run in the ones to spur him on. Yeah, perhaps he hadn't done enough but it goes to a lack of understanding in our club towards what motivates certain types of people. Now people are saying a good small forward is one of the things we should have on our shopping list.

We should, but he wasn't it

Barely set the world alight for North

You going to name these mystery posters or hide behind vague nothing statements as per?
