Just finishing off about this match it should’ve been more than 55 points, no forwards or midfielders wanted to tackle or defend any ball movement, only Madgen played anything resembling defence down back too. Every AFL listed player was so scared/hesitant to even bend down to pick up the ball in case there was any body contact.

It was a weak insipid performance whether that was because they just see no hope even if they play well at the level or there is just deep systematic development issues at the club, it’s very comparable to those 10-15 goal losses from 5 years ago.

Pedlar is a shell of the player he was last year, what have the coaches done to him?

He got his nose busted in the first 10 minutes of the season. Perhaps it causing issues with running/breathing?

Seems to have a played a bit better today - 16 kicks - hope he turns it around soon

1) Pedlar wasn’t in the best of nick when he returned for the preseason.
2) Pedlar didn’t look great in the preseason match sim.
3) Pedlar didn’t look great in the preseason matches
4) Pedlar has looked awful in the AFL this year.

I have always been a Pedlar fan but this is a wake up call. A few good games in the Twos and hopefully he is back in the AFL permanently.

Would love to see them give Murray some significant time in the ruck as well, from what I saw it was Himmelberg giving Strahan a chop out.

If Murray could develop as a ruckman who can push forward and be a marking option, we’d have some hope that we can move on from ROB.

Pedlar's confidence has been destroyed by our hack coaches.

Look at that shot for goal. Zero confidence in his skills. We've squeezed all the flair out of him
Pedlar squeezed out the confidence in his kicking all by himself. Did you see the Geelong game? Lost count of how many flying shots at goal missed or went out of bounds.

Our senior side has improved its skills over the list two weeks. Hopefully this translates to the rest of the squad. Not sure how an entire list forgets how to hit targets.

I can’t remember the last time Centrals started a season 2-0. I think we need to go back to the glory days of the 2000’s for the last time.

And a good chance to go 3-0 next week against South at Noarlunga.

Sure, so far Centrals have beaten North and Adelaide (not the greatest opposition), in the last Centrals would’ve either scraped over the line or lost these games, so to see 2 convincing wins is a positive.

Carrying on from the end of last season Centrals have won 5 of their last 6 (though yesterday’s game is the only win in that period not against North or Port).

Does anyone know if Pedlar was one of the few players that didn’t get a PB in preseason. He actually seems pretty unfit compared to last year

Being given the tagging job on Stewart might have done that.
He’s not that sort of player surely?

Why would being given a defensive task make you miss 4 kicks in a row?

I don't know why coaching is being conflated with missing targets but foot.
Hey got belted out of the gate.
He hasn’t lost his skill so surely confidence is the only thing it can be?

Said for a couple of years I thought Paul Thomas was the best coach in the SANFL just never had the cattle, got much better cattle this year.

Did Curtin get some midfield time?
Furthest he left the defensive goal square was for about 8 minutes in the 2nd quarter where the crows actually had it locked in past the centre line and he had pushed up with the rest of the defenders… Matty Wright definitely coaching like a someone who’s never been a coach before.

Is Jack Callinan still signed for Centrals this year? I was hoping he’d be playing yesterday to have a look at him
