Autopsy 42 point win(wut) vs Adelaide (Joel kicks 9 OMG!!)

Great win, Amartey extraordinary, tireless work by Grundy in first half was really important.

I think our fitness also a big factor. We run out the games so strongly. Gulden, Warner again running end to end without an opponent in the last quarter.

Plus we just got on top in the contest. In Q1 Crows led contested possession 36-33 and clearances 13-10. We led those stats in last 3 quarters, in final quarter absolutely smashed them 51-32 in contesteds, 14-8 in clearances, IN last half won clearances 27-12

Every other week the complaint is that our mids are carrying the scoring load.

Just enjoy it. We are far and away the best team in the comp.

The team believe it too
and aren't seemingly too arrogant about it (maybe chad early tonight )

Amartey 3
Grundy 2
Gulden 1

What a game!!

I know everyone's over the early deficits. But teams are hunting us, which to me is great preparation for finals, because teams are not going to let us waltz to victory, but we've continued to do so despite teams throwing everything at us.

We're putting together a season for the agea. I just hope we continue and get the job done at the pointy end. But I'm quietly confident.

Teams are going extremely hard at us from the start in hope to get a big enough lead.

Adelaide were 230 compared to 173 in the first quarter.

Only thing I’m still worried about lol is when the mids don’t dominate the scoring

Think it’s a problem

A top 4 team defence doesn’t let amarty kick 9

We need a forward line to stand up is what I’m worried about
Enjoy the win, Punts.

I like to look at who was good when we sucked early

In no order, Heeney, Grundy, Lloyd Papley and Amartey in the second were good and kept us in it imo
Definitely. I always give extra credit for that in a win. Lloyd was such a cool head early on when we needed it.

I think teams also now go we are playing the best side and come out fired up and red hot against us, especially dogs, cats, crows lately.

We then absorb and outrun them

The usual suspects will moan that we were poor, but no, that second half was absolutely incredible.

Been a long time since a team's best was so far above the rest of the comp.

Six or so were extraordinary. There were many passengers. This was the least team effort game of the year.

That's fair (in reference to your response to my post) Heeney was better than Gulden when the game was hot, but Gulden was the driving force in us putting the remaining nails in the coffin. He was the architect for a lot of our play in the second half.

Heeney kept us in it when we needed some class and the game was in the balance.

Gulden started slow, and wasn't at his best, but continued working hard and eventually turned a poor game into a prolific and influential one. That's what separated his performance from Warner's, he kept disciplined and backed himself to overcome his early slump.

For that reason, I really rated his game, even though he was a little shaky early on. It wasn't through lack of effort or endeavour, just execution.

More than fair, and Gulden took us too another level, he is probably our best overall player as much as I love Heeney.

I go on with a lot of shit, in general, because **** the internet.

I also have been absolutely justified in criticism of Heeney in past seasons.

But my God. What a player.

And this team ..... it is a beast. It is a living organism of win.

Logan will sign. Warner will (pull his head in) and sign.

Adams is amazing.

Grundy, well Gawn is good, but Grundy > Gawn. Sorry, it is just that.

Imagine playing in the backline of this team. You would be giggling. Just sitting back, pina colada in the hand, having a chat, organising the nights out and playing cards.

I have never seen a team dominate like this. The baby bombers maybe.

And seriously Logan slotted like goal at the end like a boss.

Rowie just carries the load, Jordon is such a pro - wtf were the Dees thinking letting him go.

Such a joy watching this.

Heeney will win the Brownlow in a canter. He is dominate. A true beast. Amazing stuff.

And lol, Parker and Mills to come in. Really? Really?

Also **** Adelaide.

We will never lose again. Probably.

Weird game.

Too Amartey centric, can't make it a habit👀

Grundy was enormous.

IDC if we keep turning it around, imagine we didn't let teams get a headstart. At least keep it tight.

We do minimize the damage even when getting outplayed considerably only Geelong it blew out to 6 goals.

I think i said in another thread the massive test is if we find ourselves facing a considerably deficit in a final
