Curnow found space on Ridley all night, delusional to think you're changing the setup that reduced the margin by 3 goals in the 3rd term when you need to repeat the dose to win.Don't have to touch the ball, just set up more aggressively at the stoppages. Ridley peeled up to one of the first contests in the last and left Curnow by himself to get it out the back. Don't think that happens with scores closer.
I certainly laughed when it happened at the start of the 4th.
All we had to do is convert some of those behinds and it would have put scoreboard pressure on Carlton

Well 2MP is physically pretty impressive, the problem is he almost seems a reverse Casboult - beautiful kick, but doesn't clunk marks.
I get the four points. It’s obvious you don’t quite get it
Which is annoying happend last week against GC tooExcept you didn’t
Gone back to the Gold Coast Peter Wright he's bloody soft for such a big bloke got spoiled by Holland's in the last qrt laughableWell 2MP is physically pretty impressive, the problem is he almost seems a reverse Casboult - beautiful kick, but doesn't clunk marks.
If you're attacking the game you are freeing up Ridley to attack not putting him on the most dangerous forward.Which is the match ups problem, Ridley rolls off instinctually. He aint a one on one defender. Curnow was far less influential when Laverde was on him and should have been the match up all night. Which I said in the first quarter in here and was the match up for most of the middle 2 quarters. The aggressive move was the Ridley one. Unnecessary if we aren't chasing the game.
I get the four points.
The setup at that stage goes away from defensive thought at all. You go from playing on a guy to essentially having him play on you. Curnow is a good match up to play off in a hail mary given his propensity to sag off to get out the back. There is zero reason to move Laverde off him when he didn't score a goal on him, unless looking to get an advantage the other way.If you're attacking the game you are freeing up Ridley to attack not putting him on the most dangerous forward.
I think you are confusing facts with fiction, would have made sense if you needed rebound from laverde but we all know you would rather Ridley free
Quite obviously taking the piss I would've thoughtThese aged well
You lost to the better team. Suck it up.
I thought he was just doing the reverse psychology thing. These aged well
He could never kick. He’s Paddy Dow reincarnate.
That's how Carlton win games though. rely on the other teams to dominate their midfield but then miss shots on goalAll we had to do is convert some of those behinds and it would have put scoreboard pressure on Carlton
LOL, I don't think either side walks away from that game happy. A plucky side that is over achieving this year lost due to wasted opportunities. A side that needs to be challenging last year, this year and the next if they want to get anything out of their list didn't really look much better than than the plucky young side.
Didnt reach any great hights the game imo just Carlton were better when it matterdLOL, I don't think either side walks away from that game happy. How far have our clubs fallen if anyone is happy with that?
Dow didn't work out, but he's 10x better by foot than Tsatas.
Tsatas is a distressingly bad kick.

Was that Melbourne’s game plan against the Dockers last week except they converted their shots? That's how Carlton win games though. rely on the other teams to dominate their midfield but then miss shots on goal
