I get that the Lions have been poor but I’m amazed the Dogs are going in as such warm favourites. They’ve got quite a few missing and it took them an eternity to get over Collingwood, who had even more missing.

Think the Lions can nab this one.

Two of the most inconsistent sides of the season meet. Throw a dart blindfolded = I think Brisbane wins this by 4 goals.

Only because it’s at Marvel.

The Dogs are missing their entire first choice forward line with only Jamarra remaining. Naughton, Darcy, Weightman, Harmes, Vandermeer & West (pending appeal) are all out. It's going to be a difficult ask to kick a winning score, relying on someone like Lobb to really stand up.

With Richards & Libba returning, Bont might be forced to spend some time forward for a couple of weeks to balance the side out with our outs.

Ed Richards confirmed he won't be back for this one. Damn.

Lions also have a few regular best 22 players out in Will Ashcroft, Keidean Coleman, Linc McCarthy and Darcy Gardiner.

Hasn't played a game for us yet but no doubt a fit Tom Doedee would also be in our best 22.

Obviously the list of Bulldogs best 22 players out is longer.. afl.com > Coffield, Harmes, Johannisen, Naughton, Richards, Smith, Weightman + Vandermeer and Liberatore listed as tests so could play.

If we are any hope albeit a small chance of making the finals this year we should and need to win this game.
