McCartin was great what a star and Melican was serviceable. He is a keeper may he also drink some good water in the pre season and get through unscathed.

Blakey and Gulden are super important and props to McLean he lacks in some areas but he keeps impressing with his marks.

Most outside F50 to be fair. I don't know how many times I wanted McLean to clone himself on the spot and run forward to give us a reliable marking option.

He had 10 disposals and 2 goals, for a key forward of his age I'd say that's fairly solid.

Melican really allowed McCartin the freedom to play the intercepting role. Tonight showed why we have been so into McKay but.......

Melican's performance showed why we don't need to pay circa 800k a year to get a lock down key defender. Most of this type are usually lurking late in a draft or rookied, not bought for top dollar. Plus Ben is a spud just like his brother.

They were both excellent. The issue is that you cannot trust Melicans body. Fingers crossed he has a good run.

A forward line that plays more games together can kick a truck load of goals
