TRADE RUMOUR
Riley Garcia who is out of contract this year is to have toured Geelong facilities which has resulted in bevo banishing him to the VFL and may not be seen at AFL level for the rest of the year. @tommorris32 @SamFaff @RalphyHeraldSun @FootyonNine

Let's be very clear on one point though. You can't diminish Smith's output yesterday whilst still rating Draper's SANFL form. Either Smith's performance is impressive or, if not, neither is Draper's.
Smith has outperformed Draper so far at every single level this year.
That doesn't mean that he'll be the better player, however, there must be consistency with how we analyse the output from these prospects.
You’ve got to be joking… 31 and 3 tackles at 30% efficiency is NOT out performing 25 disposals 10.5 tackles 7 clearance average over his SANFL games. Get a grip mate

Has Draper played in a white squall yet?
Two of Draper’s games have been wet? Not a valid argument. Smith doesn’t impact the game. Didn’t lay a single tackle against country in the champs game and his efficiency was garbage at VFL level

I think Draper's a better prospect but playing in the 'wet' vs playing in a cyclone aren't really the same thing.

Smith's biggest knock is his size. In such a contested game he appeared to have no issues.

I’d love to see what % of his possessions are contested. 19 of 27 disposals being contested for draper tell a story

I don't rate Drapers form at all. Its good to see, but even with injury has never been top 5 material.
Smith has outperformed Draper at every opportunity and at every level. In 99% of cases means that he will end up the better player.

Look they are both good. But according to your board (or some other board) VFL seniors is better then SANFL seniors

Both Jagga and Sid draper are completely different play styles. Jagga 31 possssion against men does not shit on Sid draper 27 possesion against men.

The takeaway is they are very likely to succeed in AFL. If you want to shit on someone it's Smillie and Lalor who haven't played against men yet.

Pick 2 for 8 and 11 is similar to what we did in the past.

F1 2025 (8-18) and Garcia for barrass is fair for us if it's 8 and favours dogs the higher up the ladder.

Overall though if your the dogs you've lost smith English Garcia and F1 and gained pick 2 and Barrass

Just can’t see any realistic scenarios where we give up any of our next 3 1st rounders given they will top 3 picks.

Apart from Reid (and an aging Yeo and Ryan) we have a list that makes vanilla taste like a Habanero Chilli and top 3 gives us the best chance of finding stars.

The top 10 is so even and depends on the teams preferences. I think Jagga smith talent wise is lower than draper but will get picked higher given Richmond’s preference of him.
I think North and Richmond would prefer both FOS and Smillie and possibly even Trainor to either of them. Which would (currently) bring WCE then Saints into it. WCE would more likely take Draper but Saints Jagga.

My preference is Draper or Lalor with our first selection and then we need another first rounder to get trevaglia.

My guy Sid draper 23 posseson 1 goal against men. He's so ready for big times.

Jagga if he continues his form of 27 possesion against men will be awesome.

Pick 2 is honestly the diamond pick and because of Jagga insane form pick 3 is also a diamond pick.

Pick 1 is not useful this draft

While our recruiting staff have been sitting on their hands, no doubt.

I’m happy to base our draft strategy around getting Travaglia and Lindsay, they are the two we need the most IMO. If we retain a high selection FOS, Lalor and Draper would currently be my preferences.
