Any evidence to back that up? He is a bad player in the worst team in the comp. Wouldn't get a game for majority of teams.

He played in two Richmond premiership sides (2017 and 2020), he missed the 2019 flag through injury, he played 20 or more games for the Tigers in every season since the 2020 flag except for this one.

Richmond haven’t been terrible for that long and he’s never struggled to get a game for them.

Are we seriously quoting 2017 / 2020 performances to justify a players current level of ability? He also wasnt playing as an inside mid back then. The game has also changed to value speed and skill. Is Sheed still AFL quality?

His form in the midfield this year was a level below ginbeys. Correcting for gametime he is only slightly better than Trew. He isnt good.

Ladie's & Gentlemen. The time has come for the Key Piece to all our imminent futures. After the SPACEWALK Launch goes up at 3:38 AM Florida time. The real madness begins on this Earth. Take note of the words "Smart Contracts" Think Union dissolving recently. Fish & Chips. This launch has been postponed twice since Sunday. So fingers crossed it launches. I will be back to guide. They will cyber attack stock markets and many things will shutdown on Earth. Many distractions. Follow The Sun. CME, Stellar Corona. 😊😊 . Will bring this back for AFL and anyother sport on Earth.
Whoa!!!!
Hey I’m gonna be having a party soon, can I PM you and see if you could help out😜

There are obviously other factors at play.

He literally had a near death experience from a work related injury. Club medico's didnt do so well.

He has had alot of time lying in bed in alot of pain. Alot of pain.

And I would suggest he came to the conclusion that due to all the other reasons. Off field. Drug use. Lack of effort. Etc. He came to the conclusion Im not putting my body on the line again for this club and this group of unprofessional party boys.

It isnt hard to understand really.
All completely feasible. BUT. The bit about wanting to go to a big club and play in front of big crowds, if true, if true, so he can enhance his brand … kinda undercuts the sincerity of the rest.

If his primary concern is Melbourne’s poor culture then the size or whereabouts of the club would be very much secondary. Surely?

from all reports there was a handshake agreement by the old WCE management to increase his contract value given the huge increase to the salary cap.

its just funny that it is now we draw a line in the sand regarding this when there were old credits crew basically living their final years on such arrangements.

New list manager and CEO

What we’re doing with Barrass now is the type of thing we’ve been criticised for not doing in the past- cashing in an an older players trade value to regenerate the list

I hate that we’re losing Barrass and it’ll hurt watching him play for Hawthorn but in the cold light of day it’s the right list management decision

He's a darn sight better AFL footballer than you are in posting reasonable views on Bigfooty.

That's for sure.

He is an upgrade on any of Gaff, Trew, Jones, L Edwards or Sheed. No debate.

Those players get let go replaced by the likes of Graham and Baker our list is stronger.

List Strategy
1. Bring in high quality youf via the draft and sure up midfield with hardened bodies to suport said youf.
2. Find some outside pace with good kicking skills and penetration.

Delist/Retire/Trade
main: Gaff, Witherden, Rotham, Jones, LEdwards, Burgiel
rookie: Trew, Rawlinson, Culley
Trade: Barrass + 45 (12&30), Darling (45), Ryan (26)

9 main spots (-1 for Longs return) and 3 rookie

FA: Parfitt or Graham but not both
Trade in: Peatling (30 received from Hawks), Baker (F2)

Draft 3, 12, 23, 26, 59
Draper, TT, Moreas, Davis, Champion

Gives us some speed and class around the ball. Would still leave us a big ruck size hole and we would need to develop another KPD with an AReid or Barnett.

A future midfield of Reid, Draper, Hewett, Peatling, Moreas, Davis, Hutch is a good starting point.
With some run off the backline via TT, Ginbey, HJ & Hough.

Make it happen Clarkey

Pick 12 likely doesn't get Travagalia.

I find it hilarious that you asked for evidence, I gave you evidence and your response is basically “nah he sucks”.

Good chat.

I think there’s a lot of people conflating “Graham could add some discipline and defensive structure to our midfield, which would be nice” with “we are a Jack Graham away from turning this all around”.

It’s ok to incrementally raise your floor, while using the top end of the draft to add the sizzle.
