Shit way to win, but at the end of the day it was a deserved free kick and we needed some luck to finally go our way somewhere.

Some of our mids had okay games but absolutely smashed in the clearances again today. I have no idea what the answer to that is, but clearly neither do our coaching staff.

Anyway, we got the W and it seemed to mean a lot to the players. Lets hope it's enough of a spark to get some semblence of momentum into our season.

To add to this, earlier in the year Parker was blocking for the likes of Warner and Gulden. In the last few weeks that’s been switched around and Parker has again become more prominent as the inside player to try and address it.

Not saying our midfield wasn't crushed. Just that clearances aren't the be all and end all of everything

They are out of the middle. A good side with half decent use would have put 20 goals + on our make shift defence.

Left field suggestion, but I personally would like to see Fox in the midfield. I don't know of he has the skillset to play the position, and it would be robbing Peter to pay Paul, but Fox has been so clean and composed with the ball, and never overawed by the occasion, so on that basis I'd like to see if he can do something through the middle. We're devoid of options and it seems that anything we try doesn't seem to work.

I'll probably get a few thumbs down for the suggestion, and it's probably a terrible one, but whatever, our midfield has been a problem for as long as I can remember.

Agree, he's been the glue holding the backline together in the absence of Rampe and the Macs. So I think the net result may be a negative if we move him to the mids.

Why would we? The footage showed him doing nothing wrong. He looked to be pointing out the interchange stuff-up to his own players. There is absolutely nothing to answer for.

Yes, and we also don't have any explanation for the constant selection screw ups but at least we've found one in Wardlaw. In about 12 months he'll be winning games on his own, provided we peel back some of the shit.
