Looks like Sid's had a growth spurt since last week, or is in high heels.
We might have landed that extra ruck after all.
Is he neck tall or shoulder tall or standing on stairs tall?

I know this is probably a joke, but it’s pretty clear they’re standing on stairs right?View attachment 2174051

Don't feed Trolls.Lack of athleticism? In that last game against Sydney he took a ball just inside 50 and sprinted away from a chasing player to kick an easy open goal, 197cm guys usually can’t do that.
I'm thinking the Tom Stewart role with more stints on ball. But not for a couple of years.Where do you think he ends up playing? Not next year but the position he will settle down and excel in?
Standing at different step levels. He looks tall. Ashcroft looks taller.View attachment 2174051

The Tri-Colour always makes you stand a bit taller.View attachment 2174051

That means we’ve used pick 6 on a defender and therefore I would definitely have done the west coast dealI'm thinking the Tom Stewart role with more stints on ball. But not for a couple of years.
Hopefully will see some improvements this year, with the knee unimpeded.
rubbish post, he’s expressed a legitimate opinion
Don’t spoil it!Standing at different step levels. He looks tall. Ashcroft looks taller.
Samuel Lalor 188 cm
Finn O’Sullivan 182cm
Jagga Smith 182cm

Lol, we have solved our ruck problems...View attachment 2174051

Have no doubt Port were keen to get North pick #2 for Houston to spoil our party. So so glad we got Sid.
I was worried for a bit thinking Port may have got Norf's pick in some trade shenanigans for Houston, then Poort picking Sid. Literally would have cried if that happened.
Kid is all class and will be a future captain 100%.
Elite (non-lockdown) defenders are about as important as elite midfielders for winning premierships. That means we’ve used pick 6 on a defender and therefore I would definitely have done the west coast deal
So you are ok with using a top 6 on a half back instead of prioritising our midfield, no way would I do that when we’ve got a decent defence.Elite (non-lockdown) defenders are about as important as elite midfielders for winning premierships.
We absolutely needed our elite midfielder/s in Rankine, Dawson and potentially Soligo and Draper. But Curtin as an elite running defender absolutely helps us win a flag. Thilthorpe doesn't hurt either.
Curtin was given bursts in the middle toward the end of the season. So you are ok with using a top 6 on a half back instead of prioritising our midfield, no way would I do that when we’ve got a decent defence.
He looked slow to my eye last year. Good sidestep tho.Yeah I'm not sure how this fallacy as come about.
He's not Izak Rankine sure, but he's more than athletic enough.
I don't think that we've got a decent defence. We're ranked 10th for points conceded in the league and don't have a single elite player. So you are ok with using a top 6 on a half back instead of prioritising our midfield, no way would I do that when we’ve got a decent defence.
Luckily the club don't see him as a half back, at least not a permanent oneSo you are ok with using a top 6 on a half back instead of prioritising our midfield, no way would I do that when we’ve got a decent defence.
As long as Curtin’s endurance develops, that would be a nice role for him to playI still think Curtin is not a mid. IMO he's a forward moving up and down the flanks. More like the old Tom Lynch role.
This is the role i would like the club to play him when Tex is rested for moat away games.I still think Curtin is not a mid. IMO he's a forward moving up and down the flanks. More like the old Tom Lynch role.
Curtin was quick enough to outrun Harry Cunningham for that goal against Sydney in the last game. So he’s not not quick either!Curtin’s not quick (how many 197cm guys are?), but he’s not ‘not athletic’. Feels like he is quite mobile for his size, which when combined with his laser boot, should make him a offensive mismatch in most positions
As long as he’s competitive and ends up getting the ball enough, he’ll be a top quality player
Nicks has already said so, big bodied midCurtin was given bursts in the middle toward the end of the season.
Club definitely see him as a mid in the long run.
If he had a higher ceiling according to the neutral experts ( eg head recruiters ) then he would have been a unanimous pick 1 in draft this year given it wasn’t a standout top couple like the Harley Reid or JHF year
And yet he got to pick 4
So not so laughable at all really
The south people Obvs love him as a kid and bloke and loved working with him so I can appreciate their loyalty with a statement like that
But evidence doesn’t really back it up
and even though Daicos has proven to be a better player than JHF ( so far ) , JHF has certainly proven to be a good no 1 pick already with lots to come
