Curtin voted 2nd best on ground by the coaches (highest AFL listed) after polling our only coaches votes the week prior.Interesting that in most weeks the coaches votes have led to a rise in the player to the senior side eg Zac Taylor, Hugh Bond, nick Murray etc
Good to have the support on this from the SANFL and The Penthus.
You just need to look at the bigfooty adelaide board. Their are many that support their local side rather than the crows sanfl side, particularly Norwood and Sturt supporters. I am not one of them, so will be supporting the crows (for a close win and great player development), despite WWT being my SANFL side. Our last one against Eagles had a heap of eagles fans in the western stand. I was like how the hell did you get in here. If they are crows members how can you support against them. Another reason I can’t wait to leave Sanfl.
You’re obviously not that much of a WWT supporter, did you support the Crows first and then WWT? How can you put a reserves team that treats the competition with contempt over your SANFL team who is in a finals race? You just need to look at the bigfooty adelaide board. I could counter that you are obviously not much of a crows supporter. I supported West Torrens first, as per my profile, which means that I supported the crows one year after the merger of Woodville and WT. There were many years when WWT were playing in the SANFL and the crows were not. When the crow came into the comp, I supported them first and then WWT. I am among others that feel that the crows should leave the SANFL. If the umpiring was better, then it may prepare us better for most occasions, but as it is, it only gives our younger players doubt to go aggressively towards the ball, as if they touch an opponent they will likely conceive a free kick against them. Crows come first. WWT come second. Times have changed. Lol, no you can’t. We are talking about the Crows reserves side in a competition they don’t want to be in and they treat with contempt, remember Crouch not playing finals last year. Not their AFL side in a competition despite shooting themselves in the foot continuously, they try and win.I could counter that you are obviously not much of a crows supporter. Before the crows came into the AFL, I supported Essendon in the VFL/AFL, due to my old coach playing for them beforehand, so should I be supporting Essendon now by your reasoning? Did you support a team before the Crows came into the AFL?, if so, by your reasoning, who and why do you not support them now? WWT only started a year before the Crows formed and I supported them and enjoyed their grand final performances before the crows SANFL side came into the SANFL many years later. However, when the Crows entered the SANFL, the Crows came first, WWT second. Hopefully the Crows leave this comp soon, and WWT will be my number one team again.Lol, no you can’t. Though I can understand your lack of allegiance to WWT given you only supported them one year before the Crows were formed, but for SANFL club supporters who grew up supporting their team prior to the Crows entering the AFL and then what another 20 years before reserves side was formed, there would be very few who would support the Crows reserves over their club.
JustAgree with Jones but still would have him ahead of Murphy
I don’t think you’re grasping the concept of different competitions so your analogy isn’t working. Before

So as I have mentioned, in my opinion, you are not a true Crows supporter. No wonder you are so negativeI don’t think you’re grasping the concept of different competitions so your analogy isn’t working.
AFL - Crows = Crows try and win.
SANFL- Crows reserves= rest players in finals
I loosely followed Collingwood before the Crows due to the number of Norwood players.
I can appreciate those who followed a team in the VFL maintaining their support for that team if they had a real passion for them. Clearly you didn’t have a passion for the Eagles enough for them to be your priority over a Crows reserves side.
Look if you’re going to be an idiot go aheadSo as I have mentioned, in my opinion, you are not a true Crows supporter. No wonder you are so negative
I don't think it's a NIMBY thing so much. It is for some people - a pretty small (and vocal) minority. But I think a lot more people (including me) are wondering why their rates are going to be spent on a fence that has no obvious purpose except to save money for Sturt.I note the Eagles have posted their support too.
To me, it's common sense, but yet again NIMBY's.
My parents met in the Central's cheer squad, I went to Central's games every weekend through my entire childhood. Before

Really? You are that ignorant? Our last one against Eagles had a heap of eagles fans in the western stand. I was like how the hell did you get in here. If they are crows members how can you support against them. Another reason I can’t wait to leave Sanfl.
Ignorant???Really? You are that ignorant?
The access argument isn’t really relevant, it would be no different to Prospect Oval and it’s mix of public access and sports being played on it.I don't think it's a NIMBY thing so much. But I think a lot more people (including me) are wondering why their rates are going to be spent on a fence that has no obvious purpose except to save money for Sturt.
There are other arguments (the risk that in future someone decides it's a good idea to shut the gate and the community loses free access, visual amenity being the main ones). But it's the total lack of any articulated community benefit that is a bit alarming when what is being talked about is a pretty substantial outlay of ratepayer money.
It's fair enough for Sturt to want it - they are allowed to and obliged to advance their own interests. I'm not quite sure why South Adelaide and WWT think their opinion counts for anything.
Deep down who do you want to win these Crows-Norwood games?Ignorant???
No. But what i will never do is support against players from my own club. You support a club you support them, from top to bottom. League to reserves. Even if it means you follow two sides in one comp. Hey when Norwood play Crows I have both scarfs on.
I can’t get my head around it. On one hand you’ve got a club with over a 100 years of history whose whole focus for being is to win the SANFL premiership and who are currently top of the ladder.Deep down who do you want to win these Crows-Norwood games?
This was where I was going alsoI can’t get my head around it. On one hand you’ve got a club with over a 100 years of history whose whole focus for being is to win the SANFL premiership and who are currently top of the ladder.
On the other hand, you’ve got a 10 year old reserves side in a competition the Crows don’t care about winning, it’s not their focus.
No sane Crows fan would barrack for the Crows reserves or even care if they win, against any team
The reserves team is only there to prepare players for the next level. There's no other function and that's the only interest a Crows fan would take when watching
If we win with Smith, McHenry, Magden, Top Up 1 and Top Up 2 as our best players that SUCKS
If we lose with Ryan and Curtin in our best that's good.
Of course you can, everyone wants to see their up and coming talent performing well. As I highlighted specifically in the post you quoted.Geez this is a real old man yells at cloud comment.
So Crows fans can't go along and seek enjoyment at seeing some of our up and coming talent performing well? Do you want them to hold in their enjoyment like holding in a sneeze? hahahaha
And would have told Crouch to play finals last year and possibly win a flagOf course you can, everyone wants to see their up and coming talent performing well. As I highlighted specifically in the post you quoted.
Winning? Meh. If we cared about winning the reserves we would have kept Pat Wilson and James Battersby. We didn't, because we don't. And nor should we
