Just glad we got out of the game. It would have been borderline season ending if we lost that.

We still have a same issue of being totally outplayed around the contest too often.
no ... but it would've felt like that going to the bye losing last week and then to the weagles today ...

Agree 100 percent. The version of JMac that is very happy with himself is not worth s**t to us. The gut running, fearless ball winner who executes with purpose is worth its weight in gold.

He and Hayward should take a break from media. Being so obviously self satisfied is not a good look.

These are two along with several others that in a different era would be asked to bring their mouthguards to training.

Dwayne was calling a potential upset when the score was 12-10

We get a goal and the analysis is about what it means for West Coast

what happened to just calling the game ? don't need to discuss hypotheticals all game

They may as well ask us to all crap on for them

I have no idea mate all i can say is how was that acceptable? the shit is way worse than what Roos used to call SCG games

We need to stick the tackles. Their big bodies in Ginbey, Yeo and Reid just stood in every tackle attempted on them and hand passed to support. The mids were not alone in this. Everything the ball hit the deck in our D50, they looked like they would score. Then when it hit the deck in our F50, they seem to just waltz on out. The pressure of the first 3 rounds has evaporated.

Thank God for Heeney and WCE fading.

It's actually uncanny for a defender to kick like this.

Haha… I know I am being ridiculous but I am calm when Roberts has ball in hand. He always seems to get the conservative or attacking option right which speaks to his decision making and of course his skill execution is more than useful.

I disagree. Losing to West Coast and Richmond in consecutive weeks, things weren't going to just suddenly change in two weeks time. I could see that bad form continuing on past the bye.

Fortunately, we lifted in the second half and can hopefully regroup over the next couple of weeks.

3 Quarters of ho hum football predictably when West Coast pressure dropped off our kicking game looked good again.
Heeney is the best player in the competition and its not even close.

Many many players way off from the first 3 weeks with their kicking and decision making, Warner was terrible awful as was Papley Jmac was terrible as well.

Mile of work to do if we are to amount to anything after the bye.

I’m no fan of the bye but this one couldn’t come at a better time.

Wasn't able to watch the match today so take this with a grain of salt but we should not be celebrating the win today. Sure we knocked out the toddler in our boxing match, but the fact the toddler was beating us halfway through the bout is not encouraging.

Poor attitude. Celebrate every win. A win on the road deserves celebrating. Adams first win for the club deserves celebrating.

4 - 1 going into the bye. Have a week off, and then come back and then look and see why they got the upper hand at times

Despite the horror show there were a few positives.

Heeney's ability to stay in the contest and get better as the game went on was impressive. He's one of the few Swans who has a feeling of legitimacy to his form, because he's doing it every week, every quarter, regardless of what those around him are doing, or what the opposition is doing.

Melican to my eye seems to be getting better and better. Settling more and more into that Reg Grundy kind of "I'm not here" defending.

I thought Rowbottom had a very good game. He was really clean and smart with his decision-making both in tight and in space. Ironically his one weakness today seemed to be the thing he is usually best at - he looked like he could barely lay a tackle without falling over every time??

The talls were all okay without any quite taking the game by the horns like we maybe needed. But again it was an exhibition in how their different strengths as players can actually end up complementing each other nicely.

And finally... check my pulse... Grundy! I thought he was an absolute workhorse in the clinches and he did less of my pet peeve, which is taking the ball out of the ruck, and more just putting the ball into good spaces. Unfortunately our mids were collectively half asleep and thus failed to capitalise on those moments. But as a ruck he did exactly what I like a ruck doing.
