Felt the game was won and done very early. After the usual umpiring flurry, Port were very loose and we had a lot of space from the get go. Last week’s intensity just wasn’t there for them.

Twas as complete a performance as we’ve seen all year and it’s feeling like our pre bye form.

Looking at Heeneys steely resolve, there’s no way he’s gonna let anyone take the flag off us even if he has to put on a cape himself.

We had so much more left in the tank and we conserved the energy very cleverly in the 4th - could have won that by 80 if we wanted.

Add Hayward who is THE BEST mid sized forward in the AFL, chases, harasses, tackles and KICKS GOALS.
Add Parker with toughness that is legendary and smarts that confuse, denigrates and belittles opposition players.
Add at the last minute the man that can play ANY position.

This is a team.
This is a team that is close.
This is a team that is still evolving and getting better.

I do worry about Logan’s ankle. He rolled it inward which is a lot worse than outward. They will have to scan that and test the crap out of it. **** I hope he pulls through.

Port wasn't able to bring the pressure they did last week. As a result we had a lot of time up field to set things up. Port just don't have any good defenders; they couldn't go with our forwards bar AA who we took out of the game by having Parker play a defensive role on him.

We're not going to that luxury in the GF.

Good game by Roberts, nerves got him a bit in the first one but he's back in the groove now.

He has great resilience to bounce back. Has done it all year. Expect a clanger or two from him next week. His teammates need to talk him through it more, be aware that he is green in a very difficult position.
