Essendon really should've won that game. Maturity between the ears would've sealed it for them. You have to get more height on a kick from 35m in the dying seconds. Kid had time. Just didn't execute. Composure is such a critical resource in modern AFL. The margins are just so tight. It makes players like Stengle / Close / Rohan / Jezz so potent.

Nick's still believes they're a chance for finals.
Some football commentary over here in Adelaide firmly believe they still some top end talent into that side beit f/a or the draft.
If their going to push hard for finals, they'll lose that choice of t5 draft talent they were staring down If they lost last night.
We've got them at home in a few weeks, they'll be plucky.

Not sure there's a heap of difference in the top 5 and the next 5 in this draft. Smillie, FOS, Smith look pretty good but Crows were never finishing below West Coast, North, and given the injury run Richmond so those guys aren't on the table and probably not worth the extra losses to get them anyway. I wouldn't be prepared to lose a single game for anyone in this draft.

They'll get Welsh through f/s pick. But from all the outside noise you get over here, crows supporters are hoping Draper might fall to them or try and trade up to land him ?

Adelaide's run home:
Hawks (H) lose
Cats (A) lose
Dogs (H) lose
Power (A) win
Swans (A) lose

Nicks might say that but even he doesn't believe that, surely.

I know we are not a vintage Cats line up but the last time the Crows won at KP Ollie Dempsey was 6 months old.

Cats had Ben Graham, Aaron Lord & Healy's favourite Will Slade running around that day.

They haven't got within 20 points of us in the last 15 years.

weren't there similar posts earlier about Port and KP? [crossing fingers]

Wow, that was a game of touch footy last night. 47 total stoppage clearances (ie. non-centre bounce clearances) in the entire game.

For comparison, Last week in the crows vs saints game their were 89 total stoppage clearances.

It was a great game to watch, but bruise free footy that is not going to beat anyone half decent.

As we assumed, Essendon are pretenders

Healy was the best

Yep, Stengle would have put that through 10 rows back
