CONCERNS OVER SIDEBOTTOM

COLLINGWOOD jet Steele Sidebottom is reportedly set to have scans on his jaw this morning in what could be a worrying injury blow for the Magpies.

Triple M is reporting the club has concerns over a possible hairline crack, which could sidelined Sidebottom for up to four weeks if that is found to be the case.

Sidebottom finished on the bench in Saturday’s 66-point thumping of North Melbourne.

The 27-year-old has played every game this season and is averaging 29.5 disposals and 6.6 score involvements.

Praise our medical staff. Praise them!

That’s him done for the year.

Un effing believable.

This week I think the logical change if Sidebottom is out would be Brown in.

Callum's been playing well in the VFL, and is fully fit unlike the seniors who just came back in. Brown can either go in the midfield or up forward with De Goey playing mainly mid.

In my mind I had the game against Richmond pencilled in as a loss anyway so that change should tide us over until next week when players like Aish will be ready to put their hand up for selection.

Just scans domus and the silver lining is that we have Elliott faz, Moore, aish who all will be fresh to.come back.in.

If Faz and Elliott were to come back in then I'd imagine that their forward pressure would've gone through the roof! to warrant a spot. Then on top of that the "hope" is that they just gell in straight away like JK, JD and Lecca for wc against us (of course).

Moore? Did slot straight back in against wc but FMD pulls out against norf for hammy tightness.:poo:

Aish? Can't question the endeavor, if he get's his chance he won't let it go he'll make the absolute most from it.

Club denying the Sidebottom rumour according to sen
After speaking to the White Press secretary, Boris Johnson and Mick Gatto, SEN (aka Kevin Bartlett) have re-relased their rumour in which they deny spreading any rumour about Prince Phillip's health, Sidebottom's jaw or the Carlton coaching position. Carry on!

Bringing in Elliot allows De Goey to spend more time in the middle. We need Elliot for finals and he has had 2 weeks develop match fitness. You could argue West Coast brought in an under done Kennedy, Darling and LeCras and we all know how that turned out.

IN: Elliot, Aish,
OUT: Greenwood, Varcoe,

The way that turned out is the exception to the rule and us being Collingwood is likely not to be as fortunate.

I don’t recall forward pressure issues with Elliott, he’ll be fine. Fasolo can be a worry.

I'm looking forward to this game. I wouldn't be surprised if we win, lose or draw, but either way I think it's a much better situation than last time we played them.

Last time the pressure was on us to prove ourselves. This time it's on them to just not drop a game.

Dunn out probably won't or shouldn't hurt us as much as it would against other sides. A Howe type is probably better suited to Riewoldt than anyone.

Treloar missing is a huge one as you need a certain degree of run and carry to beat the Tigers, but otherwise I don't really see why we couldn't cause an upset here.

Wouldn't make any changes, not yet anyway. If Moore is ready, probably get him in for Daicos. If he misses this week he's going to need to come in and play Buddy the next week with limited prep.

As someone who has been an avid critic of Daicos, it would be pretty harsh to drag him after his game on the weekend...

Cmon guys you can win this game, maybe you can shut some of those arrogant Richmond supporters up. Degoey to kick a bag
