Autopsy Statement made Against Collingwood 27 point winners

The depths of delusion on the Pies board is truly staggering.

The reason they lost is because "Swans were allowed to hold our guys off the ball and because the SCG is an irregular postage stamp-sized ground where 30 players are all within a kick of each other which suits their traditional ugly style of play"

I reckon a more accurate statement from a Pies fan would be "No doc, I do not have rotten teeth, it's just a bit of licorice from last week"
I skimmed thier board and it was mostly really sensible. Collingwood supporters getting shit for being working class was boring and BS when they actually were a working class club in the 70s but it's not been accurate for about 30 years.

he was terrific but i don't think we were losing that game ... don't think we were close to our best but better than them all day
and i think you're wrong about mcdonald ... i have to say again: mcdonald stays ... he's class ... he's our future
today's squad is pretty much our finals squad, just leave them be now ... one game before finals, surely we're done with tinkering
McDonald is not impacting the stats but he is impacting the game. He does a power of work and just doesn't stop. A bit like Tommy Mc down the other end and I bet no one is calling for him to be dropped............

I will be interested in any explanation from the umpires regarding the deliberate rushed behind.

Yep. Looked like the Collingwood player rushed him, McCartin thought "oh shit, the umpire must not have called it a mark otherwise the Collingwood player would have been given a 50 metre penalty" and as a result McCartin played on assuming it was play on.

Mills, but do you really want him tagging and not leading the midfield?
It’s interesting you look at the stats and mills is BOG. Watching the game look to me like he will be looking forward to the bye, there seem to be times he could not get out of a Canter. He certainly put in a good performance but I can’t help thinking he looked tired at times

His work rate is immense and I agree he impacts again without impacting the state.

Clarke's a good tagger but my god he absolutely butchered it
I don’t think he was on his own today there seem to be a lot of hamburgers that didn’t hit marks and kicks the chop short I think it was the real pressure and also the implied pressure from Collingwood

I love that our crowd did that! People claim the Sydney crowds are meek and don’t know much about footy but they know a bloody cheat when they see one.

I’m pumped!!!

Exactly the same reason I loved it. I think our home crowd are a little meak and passive at times but at least a few thousand of them know a cheating prick when they see one.

yeah that's every board when you lose

Would like to see the rule in black and white, I Thought the pressure was the only criteria

A win of great character. When ump pulled that goal from nowhere and then gifted Cameron a shot I thought uh oh!
But nope, we regathered and stymied them. Very mature.
Not the best we've played but really well done under finals pressure.
Interesting to see both Mills and McInerney spent most of Q4 in defence. Locked it away.
Reckon Williamson let the decision play on him a bit as we got a pretty good run from him in the last

Basically it's like if you mark the ball, get called play on then get caught HTB

Oh I agree - it was the correct decision under the current rules. I still don't like the rule though - it just gives the umpires one more thing to have to adjudicate in a game that's already hard to umpire

Just need to overwhelm the Saints in the first quarter and then they'll wilt with nothing to play for, and we can just about lock in a home final.

Unbelievable given how young this team still is. We had more players under 22 years of age out there than the Pies today (8-7, 8-5 if Adams and JDG weren't out). You add Hayward and Florent (23 and both really seem to be hitting their peaks now) and that's almost half of our starting side.

Don't think I've ever generally been this excited to be a Swans fan.
