Lloyd still managed to spud it up when the contest was on early the long kick he tried was obviously too ambitious . He did get better as the game went on but the pressure just wasn’t there. At very least he was removed from the kick ins they must read big footy.

Some real positives in Parker not bombing and Buddy at least a bit more disciplined and far too team oriented but in a good way.

Ladhams has a Sinclair vibe so not quite convinced but a much better mark gotta give him that.

The Chad showed that he is our future mid. The only one seemingly able to break away from a contest. Another like him please.

Rowbottom was good but will have to take a one week holiday

Papley is back thank goodness

If anything that was McCartin's free

Play on for me, both players intent to mark with eyes on the ball. Free to Essendon was indicative of everything wrong with the over officiating as soon as there is a hard contest.

Our effort early put Essendon out of the game. Complete 180 from last week.

Mills unbelievable, hard to find a weak link today.

The McCartins were great again.

I enjoyed the two rucks playing together - it looks like we are more mobile forward with one of those two down there than with McLean. Amartey could do the role as well if it came to it.

Goal kicking was frustrating because we genuinely deserved to win by 15 goals.

I legit thought Draper killed Blakey that was a very dangerous "attempt" at a spoil.

Nothing wrong with it. Just a hard contest where one player doesn’t come off better than the other.

Play on correct call for a change

More concerned that Perkins fended some one off early got tackled and didn’t dispose of it and that was play on. Howler of the night when there was still a contest.
